Chicago Urban Architecture Project

A high-density, mixed-use proposal for a Chicago site, exploring vertical circulation, public ground-plane activation, and how a tall building meets the street.

Design Concept — The massing is organized around a stacked sequence of public, semi-public, and private zones, with a porous ground floor intended to extend the sidewalk experience into the building. A shifting facade grid modulates solar exposure while referencing the rhythm of the surrounding urban fabric.

Sustainable Architecture Project

A passive-design study for a small community pavilion in a hot, humid subtropical climate, prioritizing daylighting, cross-ventilation, and low-impact materials.

Design Concept — A deep, overhanging roof shields the building envelope from direct sun while directing rainwater to an on-site collection system. Operable louvered walls allow the pavilion to fully open for cross-ventilation during mild months and close down during storms.

Conrad Curacao Hotel and Resort

A resort hotel proposal for a beachfront site in Willemstad, Curaçao, organized around a shaded, palm-lined arrival sequence that carries guests to the pool and water beyond.

Design Concept — A deep, arched arcade wraps the guest-room wings, referencing the island's Dutch-Caribbean colonial architecture while shading the facade from direct sun. The massing steps back from a central, gabled entry pavilion, framing a clear sightline from the street to the water.

Morgan City X-Change Community Center

A community center proposal for a wetland site in Morgan City, Louisiana, raised above the water on piers and organized around a covered breezeway that welcomes visitors from the boardwalk.

Design Concept — A wood-slat rainscreen wraps the building, filtering daylight while responding to the site's cypress trees and standing water. The elevated, open ground plane lets the wetland continue underneath the building rather than being displaced by it.
